The hill country blues is a style of blues music from North Mississippi that is distinct from the Delta blues played in the westernmost part of the state. The album takes its name from William Eggleston’s iconic Mississippi photograph that is on its cover. They were joined by musicians Kenny Brown and Eric Deaton, long-time members of the bands of blues legends Burnside and Kimbrough.
